Their Story

Elizabeth Botham set up her bakery in the ancient fishing port of Whitby over 150 years ago. She began by selling bread and cakes from a basket at the local market and eventually bought a store on Skinner Street.

Today, Botham's traditions are proudly continued by the fifth generation of Elizabeth's family. Modern advances combine with traditional recipes & methods to a delicious outcome. Proud of their five generations of bakers; they even make a fruit cake which pays homage to their family bakers past and present.
